It has either been ice cold and dry or mild and very wet and even though there are nice juicy green buds on some bushes here, today for a change it was very cold, wet AND windy!
I am dreaming of having a nice cup of coffee in the sun on the back terrace - I don't mind if I have to keep my coat on or anything, just feeling the sun.. I look like a ghost in the mirror unless I use my very very expensive Clinique foundation.
We have had springs here that John had to take his top off because it was too hot in the garden in March! And now it is half April and it is not even pretending to get nice any time soon!
Looking at the forecast it will be another 4 days of mild but wet - mutter mumble.
Ordered a compost bin today - only 6 pound in Inverclyde, not bad eh? If you fancy one, have a look here
I looked at the animation on how to deal with the bin and I did notice that it is for patient people. It takes 1 year!!! for nice earth to compost out of the bottom.
It *is* probably better than the 'just chuck it on the cliff' attitude we have adopted so far :-)
We will miss the 'banana tree creations' though!

Clinique? You know if you hadn't bought that you could have retired 6 days earlier?
You are far too free with your money ;-)
Try some Liz Earle:

Too Right! I can't find any that is better than this one though! (Superfit, well at least my face is then!) Can't find any foundation on Liz Earle either and besides from them being made of natural ingredients (which I distrust, I like a big chemical rubbish) it all looks rather 'spensive!
Can't imagine it's that much more than Clinique stuff. Though not an expert on Clinique.
You just need the clean and polish plus the moisturiser. That's your essential kit...the rest are just add ons if you want more stuff.
Look at the wonders it has done for my skin! Ahem, ok maybe I'm not the best advert!
Whatever the merits of the products, their service is actually really good. Is not always the case with firms who sell mostly on the net but their site is really clear and the service is pretty fast. Hell they even wrap everything beautifully and always throw in some freebies into the package.
Hmmm, no more oestrogen breakfasts for me I think :-)
Indeed! Losing serious men points there! However, I do like the sound of those freebies and 'nicely wrapped' and all that! Maybe I should give them a go, is it my birthday yet? Christmas? Any other excuse?
Try having loads and loads of snow for four months. The novelty wore off pretty fast. ;)
Ah, who needs those man points anyway! Unless M&S suddenly accept them then they ain't worth having!
From experience, women do not usually need a special reason!
Well I did buy some 'Neutrogena' facial wipes thinking about Norunn and Norway. And Almay 'blue eyes even blue-er' eyeshadow, marvellous. And made me think that I just so dislike paying delivery charges. I always wait for one of those 'get all this for free if you buy 2 of those' sort of Clinique offers, they are really good at that ;-) Never buy from them online though, they charge 4.95 delivery, ridiculous! (unless you buy over 50 quid but I am not that rich :-))
No, you're much richer than that ;-)
Well only 3 quid postage charge from Liz. Not too bad. No such thing as a free lunch as they say.
I should really be getting some commission from her for this sales work I'm doing!
But but but .. I will be less rich if I pay delivery charges on top of what I wanted anyway, so I might as well buy a train ticket to Glasgow, buy what I need and have a look around :-) But you are right, it is only fair 3 quid, we charge a lot more :) I suppose we are better in charging than paying, probably why we are not poor :-)
Go Neutrogena! They don't put the Norwegian flag on them here. I think.
